We note with great sadness the passing of Prof. Ramaswamy H. Sarma, the founder of the Albany Conversations and a guiding force behind the Next Gen Conversations.
Prof. Sarma’s vision, leadership, and commitment to scientific community-building shaped this meeting from its inception and continue to influence its spirit and direction. Additional background on the origins and evolution of the conference may be found on the conference history page.
